Pictures for the Lone Star Military Ball Slide Show

Every year, we put together a wonderful slide show that runs throughout the evening of the Ball.  Each cadet/midshipman’s family can submit up to five photos of their cadet/mid to be placed in the slide show.

We are looking for fun, interesting photos that highlight our North Texas cadets and midshipmen doing the things that they do – hanging out with friends or family, training, acting funny, study abroad experiences, etc.

We are also looking for pictures of the Academies to add variety to the slide show.  (These pictures will not count towards your five pictures of your cadet/mid.)

To make this a quality slide show – we require HD quality.

The higher the resolution , the better the photo will display. (We prefer 300 dpi or more or JPEG format).

Please save your photos files in the following format:

USMA_2018_John_Doe_2.jpg (ETC.)

Please send your pictures to (not GMAIL) by noon, Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

You should receive a reply that your pictures were received.  If you do not hear back within a few days, please resubmit.  Thank you!

Once the formal program ends, let the games begin!  One of the all-time Holiday Ball favorites is Game On’s Casino Games. Game On has provided casino games for our Ball every year since 2011, and we are so pleased to have them bring the Las Vegas-style fun again this year.

At the Casino gaming tables, you can use the gaming bucks that are issued to you at registration to win tickets for the annual raffle. Every year, Lone Star Military Ball attendees have a ball (pardon the pun!) playing black jack, craps, and roulette, and winning tickets that qualify them for really cool raffle prizes later in the evening.

From casino and carnival to arcade and sports games, Game On has been offering top-quality equipment staffed by friendly, knowledgeable attendants since 2004. We are very fortunate to have this entertainment at our ball!  Most of the other military academy balls are limited in their entertainment options, but our amazing North Texas Cadets and Midshipmen deserve more–only the best for our future leaders and their family and friends! So, come on out and play with us–Lady Luck is sure to smile on you!

Game Watching Party-Save the Date and Wine Pull

Make sure to Save the Date for our annual Game Watch Party!

This is our biggest fundraising and we hope you can make it!

Place: Cool River Café, 1045 Hidden Ridge Irving, Tx.

Date:  November 4, 2017 — Army vs. Air Force Football Game

Time: TBD

What is a wine pull fundraiser?

A wine pull is a blind draw where every buyer wins a bottle of wine. Typically the wine pull will sell out quickly.  So make sure to get entered early.

Bottles are donated by individual parents of the five North Texas Service Academy Parent’s Clubs, then wrapped and numbered, so the label cannot be seen.  We will offer 60-75 bottles of wine.

Players pay $20 and draw a numbered cork from the bin.  The player wins the bottle with the corresponding number on the Wine Bottle Tag. Some bottles will be worth more than others. Many folks play several times.

How can you help?

Bring a bottle of wine to donate at your next club parent or ball planning meeting.  Please give it with your donation information, and value ( no less than $15) to your academy representative. We hope to get a few expensive bottles donated.  It makes the pull much more exciting when players know they have a chance at a $50  bottle for example.  It is important to donate early, so the bottles can be prepared for display at the event. DONATE EARLY AND OFTEN! Last year this fundraiser was very successful, and we want to raise the bar! This helps raise funds for the Cadets and Mids!
